Port Salvage

Marwan Suule (Home of the lost spirits), as local sea deinzens call the place, is known by the general populus as Port Salvage. Being made up primarily of practical seafarers who had settled down, or the descendents thereof, the island town has a diverse population. (68% human, 4% elves, 6% half elves, 9% halfling, 2% gnome, 5% half orcs, 3% other.) There is little animosity between the races, despite the scattered populations among them. Many people who settle in this quaint shipping town were shipwrecked or washed ashore, losing friends, family, fortune, and sometimes even their memories. The oceans around the island are as wide and vast as any could imagine, and a great deal lies to be learned.

The port’s is named for its tendancy toward salvaged parts for ships and goods, purchasing them from local undersea villages, as well as gathering the occasional valuable and usable pieces from the long beach along its southern edge where currents and tides often deposit such things.

Not entirely isolated from the outside world, Marwan Suule does a great deal of trade in supplies and goods with brave and foolhardy (perhaps lucky) ships. Those leaving to explore open waters and plunder the treasures of Maztica, those returning with shipments of cocoa as well as things such as ivory, gold, and polished wood are always willing to unload and barter fair prices for fresh water and food from friendly faces.
